thyroid gland

The thyroid gland, it is a small electrical station with a 1 lt/hour flow of new circulating blood. Thyroid synthetizes and stores two basilar hormones, tiroxin and diodotiroxin, which influence the metabolism or the organic combustion, thermoregulation, growth, psychic activity.

Hypothyroidism is caused by insufficient iodine and, if untreated, can bring to scarce growth and cretinism. Can be caused by iodine blockers as cobalt (vitamin B12), resorcinol, cyanate, or by autoimmunity (thyroid antibodies). Common in mountain areas where salts have got little iodine.

Hyperactive parathyroid
An hyperactive thyroid means hyperthyroidism, with following consequences:

  • Metabolism increase
  • Heart beat increase
  • Blood high pression
  • Strong appetite but weight loss
  • Temperature increase
  • Emotional instability (excitements, hallucinations, irritability of nervous system)
  • Thyroid hypertrofism (organ enlargement)

An hyperactive parathyroid brings worries, fears, anxiety, insomnia, confusion, depression, cramps, convulsions, spasms, decalcification. Having good care of our thyroid means creating inside and around ourselves a positive and relaxing emotional environment, an internal serenity, a familiar and social harmony, an elimination of all weakening and stressing tensions, which destroy the capacity to digest and assimilate calcium and foods in general.
